Alpha-17, known more commonly by Alpha, was an Alpha-class ARC Trooper that served during the clone wars.
Service Record[]
1st Battle of Kamino[]
Alpha was one of the first ARC Troopers to fight during the clone wars. Alpha first fought on Kamino, during the First battle. It was also the first he fought alongside Jedi. After saving a group of Clone Cadets from the droids, he met General Shaak Ti. Gen. Ti went with Alpha to make secure the clone stocks. Along the way Alpha and Ti were joined by fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker. After making their way past the droids and into the lab, Alpha then activated the self-destruct sequence. Alpha, at the behest of the Jedis's objections, made a strategy for Obi-Wan and Anakin to collapse the transparisteel walls linking the facility while Ti held back the ocean before they sealed the place off. When the plan worked and the attack was successfully repelled, Alpha then aborted the detonation sequence.
Battle of Ohma-D'un[]
When the repulic lost contact with Naboo's Gungan Colony on the moon of Ohma-D'un, Alpha was sent along with Jedi Generals Kenobi, Glaive, and Padwan commanders Zule and Skywalker. When they took a gunship down to the moon's surface they found the colony in ruins and dead gungans everywhere. Before they could finish their investigation, they were attacked by separatist bounty hunter Durge and Dooku's assassin Asajj Ventress. Alpha, along with Skywalker, were then sent by Kenobi to find and destroy the bio-weapon responsible for Ohma-D'un's destruction before it could be let loose in on Naboo's capital, Theed, itself. It was then that Anakin, uncomfortable with calling him simply "clone," named the ARC trooper "Alpha". They were succesful in stopping the bio-weapons from taking off and heading towards Naboo.
Civil War on Jabiim[]

Alpha was then chosen once again by General Kenobi to accompany both him and Commander Skywalker. The three went to the Outer Rim world of Jabiim. There they led the Republic and Jabiim Loyalist forces against the Pro-separatist Jabiim forces. At first, the Republic had victory after victory during the first stages of the battle, but then the rain came down hard. It made the terrain muddy and difficult to move through. It bogged down their assault vehicles. Along with the rain, the Jabiim separatist unleashed their droid arsenals on the republic killing many jedi and troopers. When one of the new AT-AT was taken down, Kenobi and Alpha then moved in to try to save as many men as they could. The AT-AT then blew up, apparently killing both Kenobi and Alpha
Prisoner on Rattatak[]

Alpha and General Kenobi were in reality taken prisoner and sent to Rattatak. There both Alpha and Kenobi spent a couple of months on Rattatak in Ventress's fortress enduring her brutal interogation of them to make them reveal information on the Republic's factories. Alpha and Kenobi were then able to escape by taking her fanblade ship. After they crashlanded their ship on a remote planet, Alpha and Kenobi were then attacked by mercenaries who wanted to turn them in for price Fortunately, Alpha and Kenobi were rescued by Jedi General Ki-Adi Mundi and Jedi Padawan Commander Skywalker. Following that ordeal, Alpha spent weeks in a Bacta tank. After his recovery,

Alpha was transferred out of Kenobi Third System Army was sent back to Kamino. There, Alpha trained current and future generation of Clone Commanders. Plus, at the suggestion of Commander Skywalker, Alpha gave clone commanders names such Cody, Neyo, Bacara and others. During that time, Alpha was promoted to Captain and became the lead instructor of Kamino's training facility.
Boz Pity[]
5 months before the end of the Clone Wars, Alpha was chosen to accompany Republic Senator Bail Organa aboard the Jedi Cruiser Intervention on a tour of the Outer Rim Sieges. Alpha and the Intervention then came under the command of Jedi Generals Kenobi and Skywalker. After the Intervention made it past the Separatist blockad and crashlanded on Boz Pity. There Alpha was critically wounded by Separatist General Grievous so much that he would never walk again.

As battle died down Alpha was put on a medical transport along with the corpse of Asajj Ventress to be sent back for recovery on coruscant. En route, however, Asajj ventress was very much alive and that had the pilots plot a course away from the clone wars. Alpha's fate is unknown.
